Agarwal gained widespread attention in 2015 for her pivotal role in saving a passenger’s life during a flight bound for New York. As a precautionary response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of India launched the Vande Bharat Mission in May 2020. The mission aimed to evacuate approximately 14,800 Indians from twelve countries using sixty-four Air India flights. Agarwal was selected as the co-pilot for the inaugural repatriation flight operated by the airline.
